This walk is approximately 5 miles long and takes in some beautiful woodland as it winds alongside the River Wey.  The route is predominantly flat.

Description

Starting at the Shepherd & Flock roundabout on the edge of Farnham we will meet outside the pub of the same name and walk to the impressive remains of Waverley Abbey.

Waverley Abbey was the first monastery founded in Britain by the Cistercian religious order.  The impressive remains include a 13th century vaulted refectory.

This walk is approximately 5 miles long and takes in some beautiful woodland as it winds alongside the River Wey.  The route is predominantly flat.

There is parking along the road outside the pub (please do not use the pub car park unless you intend to go in there for a drink after the walk).  Postcode GU9 9JB

Approximate walking time is 1 ½ hours.
